At 5am on Wednesday, they became the first pair of sisters and women from Gujarat to scale the world ‘s tallest peak – Mount Everest – that too in their very first attempt.
Aditi, 25, and Anuja, 21, who have been honing their passion for mountaineering since childhood, started their climb at 6pm on Tuesday from the south side, the traditional but a longer route compared to the north side. They had left from Kathmandu on April 4 and reached at the base camp on April 12.
