Halle Berry quite literally stepped out in (or on) Hollywood on Monday when she attended the unveiling of pal Kevin Hart’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 50-year-old actress (no joke, 50) hit the star-studded event in an off-the-shoulder little black dress with draping cape-like sleeves that hung down past her hips, and, evidently, pockets. Berry complemented her KaufmanFranco LBD with a pair of patent leather Tamara Mellon Mary Jane pumps ($695; tamaramellon.com) and a tousled ‘do that drew attention to her piece-y bangs and caramel highlights.

The Oscar-winner and her comedian co-star worked together on Hart’s upcoming comedy tour documentary, Kevin Hart: What Now? Berry and Hart were set to collaborate on a Facebook Live event this past Sunday, but Hart cancelled last minute, leading Berry to flip her friend the bird on Instagram, writing the caption: “I guess stand up comedian means you get stood up by a comedian? Just waiting on Kevin. Which begs the question… #WHATNOWKEVIN!?!?”

Always a gentleman, Hart later apologized to Berry via the social media platform, writing: “I’m so sorry @halleberry…..my entire day got pushed back. I’m still at my photo shoot….please don’t kill me. I will make this up to u & ur fans tomorrow by giving u and then an amazing facebook live session!!!! #WhatNow#DontBeMadAtMe #MeLovesYa.”
Despite the incident, it seems all hard feelings have passed. Berry supported her friend at the Hollywood ceremony yesterday, looking pleased to be by Hart’s side.
