Chris Evans’s Tween Co-Star Got Him to Tap Dance on TV

Chris Evans is a man who can do both. During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Monday, the Captain America hunk revealed that vanquishing bad guys isn’t the only trick he has up his sleeves. As it turns out, Evans is also delightfully light on his feet.

The actor visited the talk show with his 10-year-old co-star from Gifted, McKenna Grace, who let it slip that Evans had promised her he’d tap dance for her one day. Yes, you read that right: Chris Evans can tap dance.

“Maybe today is the day? Why don’t you tap dance for everybody?” DeGeneres suggested.

“Please, I won’t make you if you don’t want to, but it would be amazing!” Grace added, heaping on the puppy dog eyes.

With the cheers of the audience behind them, Evans had no choice but to acquiesce. Begrudgingly, the 35-year-old stood up and treated the crowd to a bit of soft shoe.

“That’s all you get,” he announced as he returned to his seat beside Grace. “Well, that was enough. A little goes a long way with you,” DeGeneres joked.

Grace also confirmed what we’ve always suspected, that Evans is not only a wonderful human being, but he’s tons of fun too. “It was so much fun. We were always singing and dancing,” she recalls of their time spent together filming their upcoming movie. “He’s so nice. He has such a kind heart.”

“I pay her, it’s not a big deal” Evans replied with a chuckle.
