Burberry’s first UK kids store

Following the launch of the first dedicated Burberry childrenswear store in Hong Kong, and later across the rest of the globe, the British brand has opened its first childrenswear store in the UK. The 921 square foot store is situated on Westbourne Grove in Notting Hill, London. The flagship showcases a full range of the Burberry Childrenswear collection, including collections for infants, boys and girls as well as a full assortment of children’s shoes and accessories.

The store reflects the new Burberry store design concept developed by Burberry Creative Director, Christopher Bailey. Burberry Childrenswear collections are directly inspired by styles in the Burberry men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections and reference the signature trench coat, trademark check, British heritage, and fabric innovation.

As part of its retail-led growth strategy, Burberry opened its first dedicated Burberry childrenswear store in Hong Kong in March 2008, followed by two childrenswear stores in the US in New York and California in November 2008 and further childrenswear stores in Turkey, Dubai and Kuwait in January, February and March respectively.

This childrenswear store is the sixth Burberry store to open in the UK. Burberry, which is headquartered in London and listed on the London Stock Exchange, was founded in 1856.
