To have and to hold … and keep each other humble. That must have been added to Blake Lively’s wedding vows to Ryan Reynolds, because she’s committed to making sure his recent successes don’t go to his handsome head.
With a simple Instagram post (and a little help from Reynolds’s fellow honoree John Legend) Lively took her husband down a peg at the TIME 100 Gala in the most hilarious way.
“Congratulations to the most influential person in my life,” Lively captioned a photo of a shadowy Reynolds obscuring her view of Legend’s performance that night.
“The best man I know … you deserve this @time 100 honor … If only my husband wasn’t blocking you in this shot,” the actress continued. “I’m so sorry @johnlegend”
Well played, girl.

All jokes aside, the witty couple appeared as happy as ever alongside the world’s most influential people at the Thursday night event. Lively looked radiant in an embellished black Marchesa dress with a dramatic plunging neckline and a colorful, tassel fringe. Per usual, Reynolds cut a dapper figure beside her in a fitted navy tux.
