Springfield, Mo. – On day two of the 2019 NAIA Softball World Series, the higher seeds prevailed in five of the six games at the Killian Sports Complex. Catching up due to inclement weather on opening day, the schedule is back on track for the rest of the World Series. With eight teams remaining there will be four games on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. CT.
No. 1 Science & Arts of Oklahoma, No. 2 Marian (Ind.), No. 3 Oklahoma City and No. 4 Southern Oregon opened the day with victories in the winner’s bracket. No. 5 Lindsey Wilson and No. 10 Oregon Tech survived elimination games as they defeated Vanguard (Calif.) and Valley City State (N.D.), respectively. The Lions’ (46-13) and Vikings’ (54-5) historic seasons came to a close.
