Ramsey ‘expected to sign long-term deal’ at Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich are confident of landing Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey on a free transfer, according to reports.

The Welshman’s contract is up at the end of the current season with the Gunners letting him know that he can leave the club on a free.

Liverpool and Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Ramsey but it now seems German giants Bayern Munich have won the race.

The Independent claims that a ‘recent breakthrough in talks’ between Ramsey and Bayern is expected to lead the midfielder to signing a long-term deal in Germany.

Niko Kovac is under intense pressure at Bayern with the club having a nightmare start to the season by their standards.

The German outfit are fifth in the Bundesliga and are already seven points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund after 11 matches.

The report continues by saying that they are also trying to find a buyer for Manchester United target Jerome Boateng, while they are chasing deals for Ante Rebic and Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt.
