Manchester United transfer news: Paul Pogba ‘offered’ to Juventus in stunning swap deal for Douglas Costa

Manchester United have reportedly offered Paul Pogba to Juventus in a proposed swap deal for Douglas Costa.

The Red Devils have not seen the France World Cup winner’s potential fulfilled at Old Trafford since signing for them in 2016.

In the run up to Jose Mourinho’s dismissal, Pogba clashed with him on numerous occasions.

A training ground bust-up led to the Portuguese calling for Pogba to ‘get out’, while the now out of work manager also reportedly branded Pogba a ‘virus’ in a scathing dressing room attack on the midfielder.

However, he has come to life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, United’s caretaker manager, scoring four goals and creating a further three in just four Premier League matches.

The 25-year-old cost United £89million from Juventus but they may be prepared to send him back to Turin.

Tuttosport claim the Red Devils would let Pogba leave the club in order to secure the services of Brazil winger Douglas Costa.

The Turin-based paper claims it is United who have offered the deal to swap the two players at the end of the season.
