Manchester United fans on Twitter were left appalled when they found out Mike Dean will be in charge of their trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
In fact, plenty believe the game will mark the end of caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s winning run.
The ‘Baby-faced Assassin’ has led the Red Devils to four straight Premier League wins since replacing Jose Mourinho last month.
However, the appointment of Mike Dean to the weekend’s fixture has left plenty of United fans feeling less than confident of getting a result at Wembley.
In 2015, the official was accused of ‘celebrating’ Mousa Dembele’s goal for Spurs against Aston Villa at White Hart Lane.
Before that, Arsenal fans were convinced the ref also celebrated Emmanuel Adebayor’s goal for Tottenham at the Emirates in 2012.
While Dean is in fact a Tranmere Rovers fan, this has not stooped accusations of Tottenham bias being flung in his direction.
