Manchester City legend Yaya Toure raised eyebrows by naming five forwards in his ultimate dream team on Monday Night Football.
After analysing his former side’s convincing 3-0 win over Wolves, the Ivorian was asked to name his best XI with Jamie Carragher and host David Jones.
The 35-year-old’s claims about one of his former Barcelona team-mates made the biggest headlines though, insisting that Rafael Marquez was 10 times better than fellow defender Gerard Pique.
Toure explained: “Marquez was a tough defender.
“I don’t think people remember him because he didn’t play in England.
“But maybe if you want to remember him, go to YouTube and you check Rafael Marquez, Barcelona, No 4, what a defender.
“He was 10 times better than Gerard Pique. Ten times better. Believe me.
“’He was so so good. If you watch him on YouTube, you’ll see. I’ve been in love with him.”
Manchester City trio Vincent Kompany, Leroy Sane and Sergio Aguero were all included in Toure’s team.
However, Barcelona legend Ronaldinho and maverick forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic failed to make the cut.
