Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa should be FINED for spying on Derby, says Ray Parlour – ‘It’s totally wrong’

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa should be fined for his role in what is now being dubbed ‘spygate’, according to Ray Parlour.

The Arsenal legend says the Argentine ‘was totally wrong’ to spy on his opponents’ training session and should be punished.

Bielsa admitted sending a staff member to watch Derby County train ahead of Friday’s clash against their promotion rivals.

Leeds won the game 2-0 to go four points clear at the top of the Championship table.

It’s not the first time Bielsa has played the spy game during his managerial career, and Derby boss Frank Lampard was not happy when asked about the revelations following his side’s defeat.

Leeds issued a statement to apologise for their manager’s actions, but Parlour was also unimpressed by Bielsa’s underhand tactics.

“Of course it’s a massive advantage for him – it’s totally wrong what he’s done,” the ‘Romford Pele’ told Monday’s Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.

“Should he be punished? I don’t agree with a point’s deduction, because it’s still 11 vs 11 on the day, but certainly he should be fined.

“There should be a rule, because there is no rule to say you can’t do that.”
