Former Chelsea and Leicester City defender Robert Huth has announced his retirement from football.
Huth, a three-time Premier League winner, had been linked with a move to Frank Lampard’s Derby County.
But he hit back at those rumours, while confirming the end of his football days.
Huth, 34, tweeted: “This literally couldn’t be less true. I’ve retired! (I just haven’t done an interview and cried about it).”
The ex-defender was part of Leicester’s remarkable title-winning squad in the 2015/16 season.
He made 35 appearances as the Foxes shocked the world to lift their first ever top-flight trophy.
Huth, who won 19 caps for Germany, played for Chelsea, Middlesbrough and Stoke before joining Leicester in 2015.
His retirement comes after leaving the King Power Stadium last summer.
