Fantasy Premier League tips: Five replacements for Harry Kane after striker is ruled out until March

Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been sidelined until March, giving millions of Fantasy Premier League managers a transfer headache ahead of gameweek 23.

It’s a huge blow and one which may derail Tottenham’s hopes of silverware this season as they also face four games without Heung-Min Son.

Kane lies on the turf in agony after the Manchester United game

But who could you replace Spurs’ talisman with? talkSPORT.com has scouted five potential strikers who could provide you with point hauls over the coming weeks.

Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) – £11.2m

Sergio Aguero is the obvious Kane replacement.

The Manchester City striker has already racked up 99 points this season. having netted 10 goals this term and added a further five assists.

With Guardiola’s men back to their blistering best and fixtures against Huddersfield and Newcastle next, the Argentine is the most reliable pick.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal) – £11.3M

Another player you could turn to is the striker who is currently the joint in the top scoring charts with Kane, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon international has racked up a huge 134 points so far this season – having netted 14 goals and assisted three.

Although Arsenal have been on poor form of late and they have difficult fixtures, Auba’s stunner against Tottenham proved he can score any side.

The Gunners face Chelsea then Cardiff at home before travelling to Manchester City in one of their hardest fixtures this season.

Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) – £7.4m

Marcus Rashford is enjoying an extraordinary run of form under Ole Gunner Solskjaer.

In his last five gameweeks he has recorded scores of 7, 12, 11, 2 and 6 and there is no denying he is the game’s must-have asset right now.

Manchester United have a very favourable run of fixtures too, with Brighton and Burnley at Old Trafford their next two matches, the United striker has a good chance of adding to his 86 points.

If you brought in the forward you would also free-up funds to improve your squad elsewhere. Seems like a no-brainer if you do not own him already.

Roberto Firmino (Liverpool) – £9.2m

Roberto Firmino hasn’t performed as well as he did last season but has still racked up 104 points this term.

His recent scores suggest an upturn in his form, with 2,8,17 points earned in his last three outings respectively.

Liverpool also have nice fixtures in the coming weeks, with Crystal Palace, Leicester and West Ham in their next three.

Firmino could be a nice little differential for you to make ground or stretch your lead against your rivals.

Jamie Vardy (Leicester) – £8.9

Perhaps our most surprising tip of the bunch is Jamie Vardy.

The striker has been inconsistent this season but has still racked up 78 points.

His last points came when he scored the winner at Everton but with increasing pressure on Puel, who is unpopular with the fans at the King Power stadium, Vardy could notch up a few goals in the coming gameweeks.

Leicester have hard fixtures coming up against Wolves, Liverpool and Manchester United, but they like playing against these opponents so they break on the counter.

Their counter-attacking football won them the league once, and you wouldn’t bet against Vardy bagging a few goals against the big guns in the coming weeks.
