Everton outcast Cenk Tosun vows to ‘fight’ for his future at Goodison Park

Cenk Tosun wants to stay and fight for his Everton place.

The Toffees striker, who joined the club in a £27million deal from Besiktas a year ago, has been used sparingly by manager Marco Silva this season.

Tosun, 27, has not started a Premier League game since September and was left on the bench for Everton’s FA Cup win over League Two club Lincoln earlier this month.

Goodison Park chiefs reportedly would be happy to let the Turkey international leave the club before the end of the January transfer window.

But Tosun is prepared to force his way into Silva’s plans.

He said: “I will fight more to get back the jersey. I will not go anywhere.

“Everton supporters love me very much. I love them. Instead of giving up to take the shirt, I’ll fight more.”

Tosun has been kept out of the team by £50million summer signing Richarlison, who is playing as a makeshift striker.

The Brazilian has nine goals to his name with Everton just two points off a European place.
