Eden Hazard transfer: Chelsea will demand £100m from Real Madrid if Belgian star decides to leave in the summer

Chelsea will slap a £100million price tag on Eden Hazard if their star man decides he wants to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, claim reports.

The Belgian star will only have a year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer, but the Blues will not allow their star man to leave on the cheap.

They have been trying to agree an extension with the 28-year-old, but have so far failed to tie him down to a new deal.

Hazard is a long-term target for Real Madrid and his desire to play for the Spanish giants is no secret, with the player repeatedly talking up a potential move.

And, according to the Daily Telegraph, Chelsea have already made plans in case Hazard asks to join Real and will demand no less than £100m for his signature.

It is claimed Hazard, who has had a hand in 22 goals in 27 games for Chelsea this season [12 goals, 10 assists], will have a clearer idea of where his future lies at the end of January.

Chelsea prompted reports that they were planning for Hazard’s exit when they secured the signing of Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmind for £58m earlier this month.

But the American is seen as one for the future, rather than a readymade replacement for the Belgian, and Chelsea insist world-class Hazard is worth at least double that fee.
