Liverpool got back to winning ways on Saturday as they put themselves seven points clear of Manchester City, who play on Monday night – live on talkSPORT.
Tottenham Hotspur’s defeat to Manchester United means they now sit nine points behind the Premier League leaders and just one ahead of Chelsea, who sit fourth after struggling to a win over Newcastle United.
At the opposite end of the table, a draw with Cardiff City sees Huddersfield remain stuck to the bottom of the standings but it does draw them closer to Fulham, who lost to Burnley despite not conceding a shot on target, thanks to two own goals.
Meanwhile, Southampton grabbed a vital win to boost their survival hopes under Ralph Hasenhuttl.
