As reported by RMC, Monaco’s young defender Chrislain Matsima could soon be leaving the club.
With a move discussed from before the window opened, with FC Basel and Villarreal both making contact with Monaco for the 19-year-old centre-back, things have moved on in recent days.
Swiss club Basel remain in the picture and have been joined by Ligue 1 side Strasbourg but, with fellow ASM centre-back Benoît Badiashile both injured and subject to foreign interest himself, Philippe Clement’s side may yet hesitate over a sale.
